Look again

Gorgeous new make-up and colours for spring/summer have seen me revamp my look and, what’s more, with these buys you won’t break the bank…

Not only do I love the design of these vintage blush pots from Bourjois (bourjois.co.uk), with their charming silhouettes, but they have always been among my top ten blushers to use due to their really good quality pigmentation, despite their low price tag. The lighter shade Rose D’Or (pictured top) is actually better suited to evening, due to its subtle gold shimmer. I use the Rose Ambre over a bronzer to give a nice pink glow (very now).

Another one of my favourite make-up brands is Pixi by Petra (pixibeauty.co.uk), renowned for their innovative products. I’ve earmarked this Bronze Bloom Trio for summer. As mentioned, I like to first apply a bronzer and then add a little pink over the top. This palette has it all in one and gives a delicate colour.

I love a subtle smoky eye. I tend to use a skin-tone shadow first and then apply a smoky effect around the lash line. This Smokey Heaven Palette from BellaPierre Cosmetics (bellapierre.co.uk) has some lovely colours, including a light grey – perfect for the same look but toned down for daytime.

This Dare to Bare duo from Smooch Cosmetics (smoochcosmeticsuk.com) works perfectly as a base or for a lighter, ‘just-done’ look in the day.

I’m not normally a fan of palettes, but this iDivine Ultra Mattes V2 Darks from Sleek Makeup (sleekmakeup.com) is made up of some fab mineral colours. I love the mix of matt neutrals verses some eclectic brights. I sometimes use a thin line of bright colour around the lash line of the upper lid – it really makes the eyes ‘pop’. Great quality and it’s only £7.99.

For ultra-dramatic eyes, this Kohl Kajal by Bourjois (bourjois.co.uk) is really intense and precise. It glides on smudge free has a cone-shaped end for accuracy. It is enriched with pigments and natural waxes so is easy to use.

Lastly, another hot trend for the new season is the statement lip with neutral face. To the look, use a little blush over immaculate skin (use a BB or CC cream for a dewy, flawless complexion), creamy, skin-toned shadow for the eye and a little mascara. Then use a bright, standout colour on the lips, so the face is not too ‘overdone’. This Wow shade by CK One (debenhams.com) is worth the investment. Kisses to you all…
