I was thrilled when these little beauties landed on my desk. Already one of my fave brands, Soap & Glory has repackaged and reformulated their skincare for September.
Don’t be fooled by the fun, retro-inspired image that has made this brand so popular, the science know-how behind it is just as strong and indepth as found at many of the big name (and big price) labels. Marcia Kilgore, founder and facialist, is also the founder of Bliss Spa and Fitflop – so knows a thing or two about beauty. The new look gives a more ‘grown-up’, pared-back approach, which will no doubt appeal to an even wider audience.
I’ve picked out a few of my favourites. The For Daily Yourth 365 Moisturiser, for instance, is a great buy at just £12 and is packed with science know-how. It contains the patented Superluminous Biopeptide Complex to help fight wrinkles and Highdration 365, a collagen-boosting complex of 8 moisture-active ingredients, such as coconut, sesame seed and soybean oils and glycerine. Use on bare skin and its 6-in-1 action means you won’t need any other product under your make-up.
The Fab Pore is a 2-in-1 Facial Pore Purifying Mask and Peel, £10, is just the thing for giving skin a lift or to target those irritating occasional breakouts. Use once a week to de-clog T-zones and problem areas. After 15 minutes, skin is purified and deeply cleansed. I love this as it feels so lush and expensive on the skin – a great buy!
The Ultimelt Hot Cloth Cleanser, £10, is my personal must-have. It melts away make-up and leaves skin visibly brighter. It also smells divine – with tis sweet almond and coconut oils, and essential oils of orange, lavender, clary sage, rose and geranium.
The Soap & Glory new range of skincare is available from Boots this month.
