Finding the glow factor

Now that winter is on the horizon, I’ve noticed that my skin has started to lose its summer radiance and become in need of a touch of magic.

As luck would have it, I’ve come across three new products that are just the thing to put the wow-factor back into my skincare routine.

First up is the new Bioderma Hydrabio H20, £9.99. I’ve been a fan of the new micellar waters that have been big news in the beauty world this year and long been popular in France and Bioderma is the leader in this field. Its Sensibio H20 has gained cult status among beauty junkies and it has now introduced this sensitive version –  Hydrabio H20 – perfect for dehydrated skins. It is a 3-in-1 cleanser, which cleanses, removes all traces of make-up and moisturises. It is wonderfully gentle on the complexion and actually feels just like water, except with hidden powers. I use it last thing at night and then again in the morning to refresh the skin.

Then we come on to my latest love, which is the Super Facialist Vitamin C Brighten Glow Boost Skin Serum, £15.99. The Super Facialist range of products, by Una Brennan, aims to deliver results at the fraction of the price of some of the bigger brands. It really is among my favourite skincare ranges at the moment and has a whole selection of genius products. The latest addition is this brightening skin serum, which packs a punch with its Vitamin C complex that is said to stimulate collagen synthesis. Used under your usual moisturiser, it evens out skin tone and leaves the complexion radiant and glowing. It is velvety smooth to the touch and has a delightful zesty orange scent that works to lift your spirits as well as your skin. Unlike many serums, it doesn’t leave the skin too gloopy or overpacked with product – it vanishes away so skin simply feels prepped for your moisturiser. A real gem.

Lastly, I finish up with Sampar’s So Much to Dew Day Cream, £29. This is a wonderfully indulgent, lush moisturiser (and I particularly like the baby pink bottle with its cute line illustrations). The creamy texture drenches the skin with hydration and leaves it looking dewy, and ready for make-up. It is one of the new-generation creams,  rich in innovative ingredients – such as its smart hydrating complex – that maintains vital water within cells to protect from dehydration and to plump skin.

While we are on the subject of Sampar – its genius Glamour Shot is also a must for your beauty bounty. Like a BB and CC all in one (with added benefits), it is a transparent foundation to be applied over a moisturiser and works in one minute to fade away redness, pores and wrinkles  – leaving you magically ready for the day. Bring it on winter!
