She’s an icon, a legend even, but instead of the 80-year-old Joan Collins hanging up her handbag in lieu of hanging out at St Tropez, say, or the Dorch (surely, there’s no better for the queen of the screen?), the actress has rather launched a new make-up collection. And rather lovely it is, too.
Styled in a 1950s meets Art Deco design, lipsticks are housed in heavy gold cases and shadows in expensive-looking compacts. The Timeless Beauty range aims to be attainable and effective for all women of all ages.
“Looking good and feeling great is the right of every woman no matter how old she is,” she says. “Beauty is timeless.”
Priced between £12-£50, the range is affordable and fantastic quality. My favourite is the pointy, 50s nail varnish (love the popping pink Fontaine shade and the fact that they are all named after the characters she has played). The eyebrow pencil also gives fantastic definition, the blush is just the right side of peachy while the genius Paparazzi Ready Compact Duo pairs together a pressed powder and Divine Lips lipstick (there are eight shades to choose from) in a super-glam compact.
Renowned for her glamour, Joan Collins has called upon her many years in Hollywood as inspiration for the collection, using many of her ‘insider’ secrets to create what she calls the ultimate line of make-up for any woman. Timeless.
