It’s that time of year again. Thoughts turn to getting together with family, cosy nights in are the chance to hunker down under a faux-fur blanket and preparations begin for the season ahead. Don’t worry about calling on ‘Santa’s Little Helper’ for today I bring back my annual Christmas Countdown: the ultimate beauty gift guide.

In the lead up to Christmas, I will bring you my ideas for gifts, or cute ‘beauty nuggets’ as I call them, to take the leg work out of choosing gifts for those beauty junkies in your life.

Korres Mediterranean Trio

I love Korres’ products which all use natural ingredients sourced from the Med. This Trio of products, £26, includes the iconic Basil Lemon Showergel, Bergamot & Pear Body Milk and Fig Body Butter and will transplant you to the Aegean in a jiffy.

The Greek skincare brand has its roots in Athens’ first ever Homeopathic Pharmacy, with its first ever product being an aromatic herbal syrup with honey and aniseed. This was inspired by ‘rakomelon’, a warming spirit-with-honey concoction, which George Korres’ grandfather used to favour in his hometown on the island of Naxos. The brand was launched in 1996, with the aim of fusing scientific know-how and natural ingredients, and it is now renowned the world over for its certified organic beauty and skincare products.

Reminiscent of long summer afternoons, the Korres Mediterranean trio collection, will lift anyone’s mood and is a like a blast of summer in a box – ideal to cheer up those winter days ahead. I love the pared back design – tasteful with a modern, minimalist feel. The large sizes of products will last for ages and they leave skin soft and silky to touch. Wrap it up and put a ribbon on it!
