A few of my favourite things

Have bag will travel – literally – and I’ve been packing a punch with this new reusable bag, £6.95, from Berlin lifestyle brand LOQI. This now goes everywhere with me and is saving me a small fortune on carrier bags. It’s roomy and can fold away into its pouch or be rolled up with its little strap.

While I’m immensely cheered by this Artists’ Bay print, there are tons more designs to choose from, if this isn’t, er, your bag… The multitude of designs is a result of the brand’s ethos of collaborating with designers from around the world. This Bay bag, for instance, is designed by London-based illustrator, Alice Stevenson, who takes inspiration from mid-century illustration and decorative arts as well as patterns and structures found in nature. The bag features images of a sunny Med – white-washed walls, sun-drenched cobblestones and tones of blue for the perfect seaside scene.

I’m also ‘heart-ing’ these new, pastel-shaded MT Masking Tapes, £2.50. The pretty colours will jazz up gifts and boxes and are perfect for summer birthdays. MT is the original ‘washi’ masking tape originating from Japan. Each decorative roll of washi tape is crafted from smooth, Japanese paper which can be torn easily by hand. You can write on it, easily remove and re-apply it without leaving any residue.

Finally, what writer doesn’t love a new notebook?  This pearlised book by Nuuna, £14.50, has a pretty high-gloss, iridescent cover. While, inside, the paper is covered with tiny, dots –  ideal for sudden inspirations – and created from high quality Sunken paper.
