Coming up roses: Pimps & Pinups

Now this is glam. We all know that there’s nothing like fresh-smelling hair, but Pimps & Pinups Rose Oil Shampoo and Conditioner (£11.99 each) ramps up the gorge-factor with their rose-oil infused remedies.

The Spitalfields’ based salon is usually a hang-out for East London’s finest – think musicians, artists and designers. Hairdressers James and Simon Charrison attract them in to their 1950s-inspired space due to their ability to harness emerging trends and cutting-edge techniques. The uber-cool, black-walled salon is dark and moody – with its Hollywood-style dressing-room mirrors and luxe Japanese barber chairs. The product range, in collaboration with Lisa Hilton, a renowned session hairdresser, focuses on gaps in the market and using a modern-day approach in improving current products already available. Want something different and now? Then this is the range for you.

First of all the formulas are super gentle, so hair does not dry out. The hero ingredient is of course the rose oil, which in the shampoo gives an in-depth moisturising value as well as being anti-bacterial, so hair feel super clean and soft after shampooing. It also prevents flaky scalp and gives a nice lather. The conditioner, meanwhile, adds shine and treats dry, damaged and coloured hair so it is left smooth again.

Best of all, though, is the fragrance. Hair is left smelling divine and feels fresh and aromatic even on the day after shampooing. Love.
