Natural exoticism: La Sultane de Saba

My latest beauty find is this gorgeous Facial Oil, with carrot and rose, from La Sultane de Saba, £28.50. I’ve been pressing it gently into skin – still damp – as a base layer of hydration, in place of a serum or sometimes, if I am in a rush, adding a few drops to my moisturiser.

A little goes a long way and the effects are somewhat like having a ‘superfood’ for your skin. Packed with anti-oxidants and beta-carotene, carrot oil can help slow down ageing, protect from sun damage and promote visibly healthier skin.

It also contains soothing Syrian rose, which is rich in vitamins and boosts radiance, increases suppleness and uplifts tired skin. My complexion feels soft and supple with a natural, peachy glow.

The Moroccan-Parisian brand brings a touch of the Eastern exoticism to your routine with its reference points being the beauty rituals and recipes that date back to the time of the Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra.

Harnessing the power of natural ingredients, the brand USP is translating the natural into decadent, fragrance-rich products that uplift and relax. A family-owned brand (with three spas in Paris), many of the beauty secrets have been passed down through their direct ancestry, from mother to daughter for generations.
