Spare your blushes: face-saving colour

Now that the temperatures are rising, no-body wants to wear a full face of make-up. Pare back your routine and stop at just a hint of cheek-bone colour. Here’s how to shimmer your way into summer.

Mua’s Pixel Perfect Multi-Blush and Multi-Bronze are made up of a blend of complimentary colours so you can blend them for a muted colour effect.

The Multi-Bronze in Sunseeker’s Sheen gives a lovely subtle radiant glow, and can be used to sculpt and define the face. I’ve been using it to top up a tan as it perfectly enhances a sun-kissed glow.

The Multi-Blush in Coral Spice works wonderfully when blended with the bronzer to add a warm touch of pink to the apples of cheeks. It gives a lovely iridescence and is not too glitzy. Alternatively, brush this on to add warmth to a nude face. It’s very pretty.

Finally, the Peach Bloom Multi-Blush is a great-all rounder. It adds a hint of natural colour and a touch of shimmer to warm and enhance complexions. £3 each, from: www.muastore.co.uk

Meanwhile, for those who want a deeper, all-round tan enhancer, but prefer a matt look, grab one of these Bronzed Perfection Matte also by Mua, £4.

The soft, matte powder glides onto skin and blends in easily. It fives a bronzed glow and can be used on the face and body for a natural enhancer to your natural skin hue or tan. From: www.muastore.co.uk

For a final touch, add to add definition, highlight cheekbones, brow bones and wherever the light naturally hits your face with Lottie London’s Strobe Stix, £6.
