Scent of the summer: Atkinsons Jasmine in Tangerine

My new obsession is this new fragrance from heritage perfumer Atkinsons – a brand which was founded back in 1799. The Jasmine in Tangerine scent, £120, is from the label’s Contemporary Collection, and uses sweet jasmine as the hero note.

What gives it a modern twist is the edgy addition of tangerine and I can’t get enough of the slightly green-fruity mix of both ingredients. It is such a radiant perfume to use and it also develops in complexity throughout the day.

The fragrance starts with subtle jasmine and then you get a hint of warming pink pepper. At its heart is sweet, rich ylang ylang and refreshing tangerine. A base of white cedar and creamy vanilla gives it a hidden depth making it utterly perfect for the long, summer days ahead.
