No that Autumn has definitely arrived, the latest beauty launches seem to be magically geared towards cosseting and protecting.
Products derived from the Dead Sea have long been fêted due to their rich minerals and nutrients. Leading home-spa brand Dead Sea Spa Magik Organiks, award winners for their pioneering approach to organic beauty, has just launched a new skincare range which harnesses the goodness of Dead Sea waters in a collection of innovative products to combat ageing.
Packed with pure essential oils, therapeutic plants and mineral sea water, the Wrinkle Therapy range is natural and organic. The new Moisture Melt Cleansing Balm, £14.95, is my new obsession. You simply smooth it on the face, gently rubbing it in with circular motions, and the buttery texture melts away the day’s make-up and dirt. Massage it off with a muslin cloth soaked in warm water, for best effects, or simply by rinsing off with your hands. It’s a perfect pre-sleep treat.
With an oil-rich formula containing jojoba, olive, and sweet almond oils, blended with sea minerals, I’m finding that my skin is left super-soft and squeaky clean. Normally cleansing is a functional step in a beauty regime, but this introduces a pampering layer of care to a night-time routine.
At the moment, of course, the latest beauty fad is all about multi-masking. But slather on the brand’s new Peel and Reveal Marine Mask and you will find that you don’t need to mess around and complicate your routine with multiple masks for different areas. This is a one-fix job for all complexions.
You mix the contents to form a paste and apply over the face, neck and décolleté area. After 15 minutes, you simply peel it off to reveal a refreshed and rejuvenated complexion. This is super-easy to use – and very satisfying to peel off, too! It contains anti-ageing ingredients, such as algae and maple cherry which are rich in Vitamin C and which give a glowing effect to the skin. It feels super-pampering, too, so perfect for the changing seasons and great for a pre-party beauty session.
Lastly comes Dead Sea Spa Magik’s Hydra Lip Balm, £5.95. Throw this in your bag, keep one in your car, pack it when you travel – it’s a little gem in a tube. The menthol formula instantly soothes cracked lips and staves off dryness from the cold. It deeply hydrates with its combination of beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter and Dead Sea minerals, giving soft, kissable lips. Time to pucker up!
