Spring Beauty Review: John Frieda’s super tonics to put the spring back into your hair

As I sit here writing this, the sun is out and the birds are singing – yes, spring has finally arrived. To perk you up, in tune with the arrival of the new season, there’s nothing like having shiny, swinging hair.

John Frieda‘s new Sheer Blonde Brilliantly Brighter Shampoo and Conditioner, £6.99 each, combo is just the thing to put the life (and light) back into your barnet.

The range increases the natural luminosity of blonde hair so it looks shiny and glossy after using just once. The formulas feel lush to use and drench hair in moisture so that they are protected from that dried-out, bleached effect fair hair can suffer from. After drying, hair looks noticeably luminous and brighter.

To finish off, I’ve also been using John Frieda’s Secret Agent Touch-Up Creme, £5.99, from the Frizz Ease range. This is not as heavy as the serum, which can tend to make my hair look greasy. Often used backstage by the likes of celebrity stylist Luke Hersheson, the lightweight crème tames fly-away ends and adds a touch of moisture back into dehydrated hair for a flawless finish. I simply apply it by adding a tiny amount in my palms and running it through dry hair. Works instantly to add that essential finishing touch.
