Spring Beauty Review: skin refresh by Image Skincare

I’ve revamped my skincare routine with Image Skincare‘s innovative Iluma Intense Brightening Exfoliating Powder, £40. This is a truly unique product – a soft polishing powder that cleanses and exfoliates and turns into a gentle foam on contact with water.

The lilac powder blend removes debris and oil from pores while providing long-term hydration and anti-aging benefits. It contains natural botanicals, enzymes and antioxidants to add radiance, and after drying, skin feels smooth, illuminated and prepped for moisturisation.

The US brand is currently fairly under the radar in the UK but watch this space – it is gaining a cult following with bloggers, beauty writers and beauty experts alike, all impressed with the scientific know-how, innovation and luxury-quality ingredients that the brand’s products have.

With a professional range, as well as a home-care range, Image was launched by a plastic surgeon and his wife Jenna Ronert. They wanted to offer an affordable premium quality clinical range of products which are results driven.

Talking of which, I have been following up the cleansing step with the brand’s Vital C Hydrating Facial Oil, £65, a natural plant oil blend to pep up dull skin. Add a tiny bit into the palms of your hands and gently press and smooth onto the face. It’s ultra-light and sinks in to nourish and soothe.

Containing moringa, sea buckthorn and grapeseed oil, as well as antioxidants, the oil (which is non-greasy) works to brighten and helps rejuvenate skin. Skin is nourished with its anti-inflammatory botanicals.
