Renowned for its blend of science know-how and the very best of nature’s goodness, Green People is a go-to brand for those with sensitive skin and aficionados of ‘clean’ beauty. Now that Autumn has set in fast, its huge collection of products – there are products for men, body, babies, ultra-sensitive skins and special editions, to name just a few – are also perfect for fine-tuning and resetting our complexions for the new season ahead.
The anti-ageing Age Defy+ skin range is among my favourites. The products not only look great with a sleek, contemporary design, but they are also aimed at keeping skin feel and look youthful and radiant. Aimed at women over 35, the range is rich in youth-boasting botanicals and active ingredients to target wrinkles, age spots and cell breakdown.
This Purify & Hydrate Cream Cleanser, £26, for instance, swipes off all make-up and improves skin tone. I like the fact that you can use cotton wool or water to remove it – so it is a great all-rounder. After using, skin looks uplifted, super clean and glowing. Among its whopping 23 beauty enhancing actives, it contains mandarin to promote cell regeneration, hibiscus, which works to lift and firm, and jojoba, which helps with elasticity. Infused with the delicate scents of mandarin and ylang ylang, it also smells like a dream and feels like a holistic treat and entirely soothing.
I have been following this up with the 24 Hour Brightening Moisturiser, £36. Tap it gently onto cleansed skin to release its uplifting botanical scent (think: rose geranium, lavender and red mandarin) and let it deeply hydrate skin. With cucumber, mulberry and hibiscus, it harnesses the natural actives to brighten skin and to reduce age spots, fine lines and wrinkles.
It is also 88% certified organic, so is kind and gentle, but really packs a punch when it comes to intense moisturising and giving a radiant look.
For an added boost, when skin feels tired or exceptionally dry, I add a drop or two of the Cell Enrich Facial Oil, £32, into the moisturiser. I’m a big fan of facial oils, and while many can be used directly on to the face – like this one – I find that they blend and sink in easier once added to a cream.
Whether you use it like I do, or perhaps by adding a few drops into the palms of your hand and pressing them gently over your face, this is a real delight.
The oil works to restore skin’s suppleness and elasticity as well as soothing inflammation or any dry patches. It has a gorgeous scent of botanicals – such as lavender, lemon and chamomile – so works to uplift skin and your mood.
