When Sand & Sky launched its (now) iconic Australian Pink Clay Face Mask, it was an instant Instagram hit (see my review here). Not only was the strong design ethos, with its modern typography and clean graphics, instantly ‘snap-able’ but, inside, the cute pink pot, was a clay that really, really worked (it tightens pores, detoxifies and brightens in just 10 minutes).
Now – much to the relief of the reported 13,000 people on the waiting list – the brand has launched its second product. The Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment is an ‘instant’ mask, that multi-tasks, tackling a multitude of problems, to leave skin in tip-top condition. It absorbs oil, refines pores, mattifies skin and draws out impurities. Best of all, it works within five minutes as a glow-booster (apply before the start of your shower and rinse off at the end). Easy peasy.
Containing macadamia and bamboo, as natural exfoliants, it will gently remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, while fruit acids – such as Australian Finger Lime – will clear oily debris from deep in your pores, leaving the complexion smooth, clean and matte in finish. You really feel like your skin has had a deep clean in less time it takes to shower.
As well as treating oily skin, it can also be used on dry skin as it is hydrating and gentle to use – not stripping away any of the skin’s goodness. The formula is enriched with one of the purest clays in the world, which works as a ‘magnet’ to remove toxins, pollution and impurities from deep within the skin – and as it is natural, it is the perfect deep cleanser for all skin types.
Let’s face it, who has the time to sit around waiting for a 20-minute mask to work on a regular basis? That’s why I’m loving the ‘flash’ philosophy of the product – exfoliating, detoxing and radiance-enhancing – this is the ultimate glow booster, which easily fits into busy lifestyles and which can become part of your weekly routine (use it around three times a week).
I’ve been applying the treatment onto a damp face, massaging it in for 30 seconds. After leaving it on for five minutes, you simply rinse off, pat skin dry and, yes, you will see the results. The botanical-focused brand, uses rosehip, grapeseed and olive oils so the mask also nourishes the skin and restores long-lost radiance. Meanwhile, witch hazel tightens pores and perks up tired skin. It’s everything and more you could wish for. Get on the list.
