It might be the leading cosmeceutical brand in South Korea, but in the UK we are just discovering just how good It’s Skin is. Due to our love of all things Korean – when it comes to innovative beauty – It’s Skin is having a moment. The company, developed by dermatologists at the University of Seoul, offers affordable products which often sell-out due to their mix of advanced research & development, high quality ingredients and a cool, contemporary design ethos.
Factor in the natural ingredients and a low irritant formula, which is based on advanced techniques from the field of dermatology, and you have a ‘skin-loving’ collection. At its core are the brand’s much-loved super serums, which offer covetable complexion-enhancing solutions.
One of the hero products is the Power 10 VC Effector Serum (one of these sells every seven seconds across the world) from the company’s Vitamin Collection range (VC). It has an instant brightening and pore-tightening effect, and reduces darks spots and blemishes. I’ve been applying every morning to a clean face, and its lightweight texture sinks in immediately, leaving the face radiant and glowing. It’s a real instant pick-me-up.
The big news from the brand, is that it has just launched is a cleanser and moisturiser in the same range, to support the serum. The three glow-boosting ‘powerhouses’ now work together to brighten skin tone and reduce visible signs of ageing, using active ingredients and fresh, light textures.
The It’s Skin Power 10 VC Effector One Shot Solution (£18.99) is a lightweight cream, which goes on after the serum and offers protection from dehydration and pollution.
Working together with the serum, this has a high-elastic texture (it’s sort of like a gel-cream) and contains Vitamin C derivatives and green tea extract to boost dull skin, leaving it smooth and bright. It also contains a trio of natural extracts to protect and nourish the skin.
Finally comes the Cleansing Foam (£14.99) which has a gorgeous jelly texture which transforms into a rich foam to deep clean and pamper. Its active ingredients cleanse without stripping the skin and like all the other products in the range, it contains an oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C which boosts collagen production and reduced pigmentation. Together these have become my new morning routine – a great way to start the day.
