Days by the ocean may already feel like a world away, but these two new haircare products from Herbal Essences have been inspired by the goodness of the Deep Blue and will transport you back to exotic shores in no time. Based on the scents of an ocean breeze, with elements of floral and amber notes, the new Bio:renew Deep Sea Minerals Shampoo and Conditioner, £6 each, leave hair feeling subtly fragranced, while working to soften dry strands, as well as restoring scalp balance.
The shampoo gives a lovely deep clean, and, with both products containing 90% naturally derived ingredients, hair feels fresh and healthy. The conditioner, meanwhile, restores glossiness and leaves hair smooth and bouncy. Both have a lovely rich texture, yet they don’t feel too heavy or cloying.
Drawing its ingredients from the ocean, it has a combination of aloe, sea kelp and histidine, with the addition of spirulina. The blue-green algae, which grows naturally in fresh water lakes, is considered one of the world’s most powerful superfoods and is rich in protein. It has been adapted for the haircare range and is complemented with a range of vitamins and minerals to bring hair back to life.
Both are silicone-free, and, while the shampoo cleanses away impurities it also uses a bio-lipid technology to revive hair. These lipids ‘melt’ into the hair, priming it for even conditioner application. The result? Sleek and healthy-looking tresses, naturally.
