German bath and body-care brand, Kneipp may have started 125 years ago, based on the lifelong naturopathic studies of the health pioneer Sebastian Kneipp, but the holistic label is still growing strong and is one of the leaders in natural remedies. Among its hero products the range of bath salts and tablets, may be considered a tad outdated with more design-led brands, but they are actually super effective in getting results, such as easing limbs, reviving the body after sports or easing the mind after a stressful day. The award-winning Bath Salt Crystals, in particular, are formulated with pure natural plants and herbs, to clear the mind and soothe the body.
I’m loving these Kneipp Pure Bliss Sparkling Bath Tablets, £1.95, (and I have also earmarked these for stocking fillers), which you add to a warm bath for a reviving soak. The Red Poppy and Hemp version is ideal after a hard day at work. The combination of Red Poppy and Hemp essential oils give a lovely uplifting aroma, allowing your mind to float away, while leaving skin smooth and supple. Just add the tablet to a swirling bath and you’ll be immediately transported to an Alpine idyll.
This sachet of Cold Season Mineral Bath salts, £1.95, – it is enough for one bath – meanwhile, is packed with Eucalyptus essential oil and natural thermal spring salts. Add to your bath and they will help you to breathe easier, if congested, and generally give a feeling of wellbeing if feeling like you are coming down with a flu or cold.
Finally, this Joint & Muscle Arnica salt sachet, £1.95, is ideal for sports fiends. It is packed with extracts of arnica which help heal sprains, bruises and wounds. It transforms your bath into a rehab for muscles and achy joints and the warm water allows the body to easily absorb the trace minerals.
The essential oils also have a therapeutic effect to both mind and body – breathe in and float away.
