Aveda’s new Cherry Almond Collection Shampoo and Conditioner is my new favourite find – it really does make a difference to the condition of hair, leaving it soft, shiny and full of bounce. As well as being made with naturally derived cherry blossom extract and sweet almond oil, it also has 38 plant and flower essences to make for a cocktail of natural goodies that simply just feel good to use.
After washing with the shampoo, and following up with the conditioner, hair looks restored, healthy and thick. Best of all is the light, floral fragrance that each strand is infused with – giving you a waft of freshness throughout the day. Made with formulas which are silicone-free and vegan-friendly, the products also contain no nasties and are not tested on animals – so a big thumbs up on their ‘kindness’ ethos.
The Cherry Almond Softening Shampoo, £15.50, has a pearlescent-gel consistency and uses babassu and coconut for a touch of exotic goodness. Sweet almond oil contains Omega 9 and 6, which inject hair with rich nutrients to preserve shine and softness of hair. It lathers up to a lovely texture – rich and creamy – and hair feels super-clean and re-booted.
The Cherry Almond Softening Conditioner, £17, is thick and creamy and uses organic coconut oil and shea butter to deep condition and preserve shine and smoothness. Hair can be combed through easily and, once dry, hair is left in tip-top condition.
I’m using this at the moment and would definitely recommend. It’s the first product I’ve tried from the brand and I’d be interested to see what else is in the range.
