Ashley & Co’s Soothe Tubes are my latest joy-givers. The silky hand creams not only pep up your digits, but they also enliven the soul for the New Zealand brand uses fragrances based on the founder’s memories of exotic travel.
The eight signature scents include ‘Bubbles & Polkadots’ – which uses a heady cocktail of rose otto, musk, amber, bergamot and camomile. While ‘Tui & Kahili’ contains lily, mimosa, sandalwood, ginger and ylang ylang.
The hand creams are rich, yet non–greasy, and drench hands, nails and cuticles with hydration, not to mention the fragrance which lingers throughout the day.
Shea butter, camomile extract and vitamin E create an intensive soothing and nourishing cream, and the slim tubes are the perfect size for travelling.
Based in Auckland, founder Jackie Ashley started creating scents and fragrances inspired by her childhood growing up in Hong Kong, and those of travelling. The brand now has a 50+ product range with a bold and modern design aesthetic, conjured up by Jackie’s husband. Team work clearly makes the dream work. (Available at Selfridges.)
