Fresh skin for a new season

by angelinavc

This time of the year – when the worst of winter is behind us and spring is round the corner (hopefully) – is a great period to rejuvenate your skincare regime.

Firstly, to give my complexion an extra helping had, I’ve started taking these Lavi Davi Multivitamins, £32, for skin. They are from Funderm, a brand which uses prebiotic and probiotic formulas across its range to offer an ‘in and out’ approach to achieving good skin. The grape-flavoured dummies are made with this complex, and they also contain natural active ingredients, such as collagen and phosphatidylserine, which work to plump skin and prevent breakouts. One a day, aims to keep the goodness in and the baddies away.

Also from the brand is the fantastic No Drama Natural Red Clay Mask, £32, also based around the prebiotic and probiotic complex. Working in just five minutes, it has a creamy texture, which can be applied to the complexion easily. The clay is smooth and luxurious in feel, and also has a gorgeous scent. From the dead sea minerals to purify to the Vitamin E and Vitamin B3 to improve skin’s texture and deep clean – this is one of those ‘saviours’ you can reach for, when skin is looking tired and under-par. It works fast so there’s no faffing around.

Finally, the Was Bad Anti-Pimples Gel Treatment will become your new little best friend. The invisible gel is packed with active-ingredients to unclog pores, exfoliate dead skin cells and clear blemishes. Pop it on overnight or even under make-up and spots are zapped. funderm.com

This handy little duo make up the gorgeous Time Traveller Skin Brightening Kit, £50, from the Age Defy+ range by Cha Vøhtz. This has become part of my new essentials – with the natural ethos and hardworking formulas, these work to renew and add radiance.

Start with the Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator, an illuminating facial scrub, to buff away dullness, refine texture and polish the skin. The gentle scrub contains pineapple enzymes to slough off dead cells, bamboo to uncover new skin and bentonite clay to unblock pores and to refine the skin texture. You simply massage it into the skin around twice a week and then rinse off with warm water – skin is left radiant and rejuvenated. It’s a great pick-me-up.

The brand, by the founder of Green People, is aimed at women aged 35+, and uses natural ingredients, with the latest science breakthrough knowledge, to target skin regeneration and deep hydration. If you don’t like using products with chemicals in, but want effective skincare, then this is the brand for you.

After the polishing step, you then pep up skin with the Brightening Moisturiser. This is a high potency hydrator so a little goes a long way. Packed with plant actives to reduce age spots, fine lines and wrinkles.

Beech Bud is the hero ingredient, it works to increase cell turnover, refining tone and adding radiance. It’s the glow-getter we all want. greenpeople.co.uk
