I’ve written before about Age Defy+ – the progressive skincare range from the innovative founder of Green People, Charlotte Vohtz. It’s her passion signature range, aimed at those aged over 35. With an anti-ageing approach, it mixes the best of nature’s goodness with scientific know-how. Not only do I love the formulas, which really work and which use beautifully-scented essential oils and plant actives – but I also adore the whimsical, pencil-drawn botanical prints on the packaging. So pretty.

Inside the bottles are super-sophisticated – revealing the marriage of nature with the latest in beauty thinking. This Purify & Hydrate Cream Cleanser, £20, has been my go-to of late to achieve clean and sparkling skin. It glides over the face to gently remove make-up and impurities. Add a small amount on a cotton wool square and swipe off impurities. It uses no less than 23 beauty-enhancing actives, with the hero ingredients being hibiscus, which helps firm and lift the skin and reduce wrinkles, aloe vera and jojoba, to rehydrate and soften even sensitive skin. As well as improving skin tone and elasticity, skin is also left scented with a blend of mandarin, Ho wood and ylang ylang – so gorgeous. I also love the fact that a little goes a long way, and it has 91% organic ingredients so you know it is good for you and the planet. Such a mood enhancer.

For skin that needs an extra pep-up, this Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator, £23, is just the thing for a deeper, weekly treatment. It’s not too harsh, so it is great to condition skin which usually doesn’t like exfoliators. Using pineapple, bamboo and Bentonite clay, Cha Vohtz’s concentrated formula works to buff skin so it is left refined and bright.

This is all about ‘the natural’ with pineapple enzymes to slough off dead skin cells, bamboo to gently lift hardened skin cells and clay to unblock congest pores. The result? Skin is left looking refined and youthful. I’ve been using it once or twice a week, when my complexion has needed a little more TLC. You simply massage it in and then rinse with warm water to reveal an uplifted look, with dry, flaky patches eliminated and blemishes erased.

A good last step is this gorgeous Brightening Moisturiser, £37. It has a cocktail of 32 plant actives to reduce age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. First of all, this smells divine with the organic notes of mandarin, rosalina, lavender and palmarosa transporting you to a wildflower meadow. Then it works to deeply hydrate, stimulates collagen synthesis and reduce lines, so skin looks fresh and revived.

This organic moisturiser, uniquely, also has a mild exfoliating action, so it actively reduces skin pigmentation and age spots when used daily. Perfect for this time of year, it will boost cellular metabolism while hydrating the skin boosting a glowing, radiant complexion.
