Naturally does it! Balmonds’ iconic wonders come straight from Mother Nature

Anyone prone to eczema, sensitive skin or dry patches will know how hard it is to find products they can use without causing a flare-up and which also work well on their complexions. Balmonds‘ 100% natural skincare has been specially created for those suffering from allergies and eczema, with sensitive or dry skin, and indeed anyone who wants to avoid irritants, toxins or pollutants in their skincare regime. So these may just be the answer you’ve been looking for…

This Intensive Facial Oil, £22, for instance, is a brilliant first-step in any skincare routine. It contains a cocktail of beneficial essential oils, which work to rejuvenate and ‘pep up’ tired, delicate or damaged skin. It uses a high proportion of pure rosehip oil as the base of the formula, as well as  lavender, palmarosa and Roman Chamomile essential oils – all of which bring nourishing and nurturing qualities for the skin, as well as giving an uplifting, light scent. Cold-pressed organic sunflower and organic calendula oils are additional goodies – offering soothing essential vitamins.

The oil is light and not too heavy, so you get none of that greasy after-effect some oils give, and so skin feels ‘fed’, plumped-up and radiant after using it. Best of all, you know that this is 100% made from plant-based ingredients, chosen to work together to nourish and hydrate the delicate skin of the face. It can also be applied anywhere on the body to soften scars, blemishes and blotchiness. As well as using it directly on to the skin, you can also use the oil as an enriching addition to your usual day or night cream – just add a few drops to the pot and stir in. A little goes a very long way!

Talking of which, the perfect day cream to use in conjunction with the oil is Balmonds’ Daily Moisturising Cream, £13.99. It has a super-soft texture and contains shea butter, organic hemp seed oil and biodynamic chickweed, grown in the UK and used in traditional medicine as a natural antihistamine. Use it by itself or add a drop or two of the oil and massage in.

The moisturiser is a great all-rounder (can be used by all the family, and can double up as a hand cream and body cream). It is unperfumed and free from petrochemicals, such as paraffin or mineral oil – so perfect for those with eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and dry, sore, itchy skin conditions.

Finally, comes the brand’s iconic hero product – Balmonds Skin Salvation, from £12.99. A sort of do-it-all wonder balm, it has a 100% natural, beeswax-based formula and is all-natural. It works to soothe irritation and is perfect for dry, itchy patches, flaky skin, eczema flare-ups, as a lip balm or even as a cuticle conditioner.

Because Skin Salvation is an oil-based balm, it’s extra kind to use sore or broken skin and is less likely to sting than conventional water-based hand creams.

Rich in nutritious hemp seed, safflower and olive oil it is ideal whether you suffer with a skin condition or you’re just looking for an all-rounder moisturiser, as it nourishes and soothes the skin. Natural wonderful.
