I’m loving this duo from Huda‘s skincare line. The Wishful Yo Glow Candy Cane, £18, is a limited-edition version of the Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub. Perfect for wintery pampering when we all need a little extra TLC (it has a sweet, candy cane scent so it feels so festive), it combines pineapple and papaya enzymes with BHAs and AHAs, to leave skin glowing, decongested and deeply clean.
The three-in-one exfoliation formula reveals smooth, radiant and glowing skin in seconds. Thanks to its unique combination of fruit extracts, acids, and soft exfoliants, this scrub promises long-lasting results in just 10 days (it has a cumulative benefits, so the more regularly you use it, the more benefits you’ll see). It also has a lightweight, milky texture, which feel kind to the skin. It gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities for immediate results – ideal to create the perfect canvas for seamless makeup application and for a long-lasting, pure-looking complexion.
Use it once or twice a week as a deep cleanse and to renew dull skin. It also diminishes pigmentation and sun damage, leaving the face more even-toned and luminous. You apply a little to a dry face and gently massage it in circles. It sweeps away impurities, sloughs off debris and gets rid of dry skin. Rinse well with warm water and your face feels lifted and looks renewed.
I’ve been using it in partnership with Wishful’s Get Even Rose Oil, £55. This is just a dream of a product and it combines Rosehip and Damascus Rose oils with no less than 13 other skin-loving oils. Use a few drops on clean skin every morning, or combine a couple of drops with your usual moisturiser. The potent cocktail of high-quality oils give your skin a noticeably more even, brighter and smoother appearance.
As well as deeply pampering, Damascus Rose oil is known to soothe and clarify the skin, and effectively locks in moisture – so it is great for dry or mature complexions. Rosehip Oil is renowned for its powerful abilities to even skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots and fine lines. Carrot Seed Oil is known to moisturise and tighten skin and Baobab Seed Oil is rich in vitamins, omegas 3, 6 and other fatty acids that nourish and rejuvenate the skin.
I’ve been using a few drops to boost my skin every morning. It’s not too rich, but a little does goes a long way. It feel rich and opulent and just seems to immediately nourish and ‘perk’ up the look and feel of the skin, penetrating deep down for lasting smoothness, improving texture and adding a touch of radiance. What more could you ask for on a winter’s morning?
