Future proof your gift guide with Panasonic

by angelinavc

Last year, when the world was still normal and the media calendar was operating as usual (how long ago does that seem?!), I was invited to a fabulous Christmas in July event by Panasonic (Oh! those were the days!). It proved to be one of the highlights of the ‘preview’ season – (for those not in the industry, these press days are vital to allow journalists a sneak peak as to what is coming up for Christmas, and allows writers to preview products in advance as they work on their pages months ahead).

Anyhow, I was lucky enough to be gifted one of the brand’s new Nanoe + Double Mineral Hairdryer (£129.99). Based around patented technology, this is no ordinary hairdryer. With a multitude of settings, it adjusts to hair type and ‘occasion’, with a special ‘Scalp Mode’, which is gently and does not burn for sensitive scalps, and intelligent heat sensors to prevent heat damage and reduce split ends.

I can’t recommend this highly enough and have used this practically every day since receiving it. It dries hair so, so quickly (the dream!), but doesn’t blast it senseless but, instead, leaves it smooth and sleek. Gone are those fly-away fronds and wispy stray hairs.

So, when I saw the ‘must-have’ list from Panasonic for 2020, I was intrigued as to what was on it. (This year, alas, this was from behind my screen, at the comfort of my desk.) And I was delighted to see the wonder hairdryer maintaining its no 1 spot in the top suggestions for women’s Christmas gifts this year.

Following up behind it, however, is the brand’s EH-HS99 Straighteners, £79.99, which enable users to curl, twist and straighten their locks in style. Straighteners are an essential part of anyone’s beauty kit, and these help to seamlessly transform your look – whether you want Jennifer Aniston poker-straight locks or cute and vibrant, beachy waves.

Out of necessity, the past few months have meant that we’ve all become more adept at mastering our beauty routines at home. Trips to the hairdressers and spa have been few and far between, so also on my wish-list for this year is the Panasonic Facial Steamer, £129.99. This is the next best thing to getting to a spa right now for a deep-clean facial. This is something I’d love to find under the tree this year! It uses micro nano-sized particles, which are 18,000 times smaller than regular steam particles to leave your skin feeling clean and smooth.

Perfect for clean freaks like me, this will deep clean and decongest skin, with no effort and I can see it as the essential piece of kit to perfect a weekly skin overhaul routine. Steam, clean and go…

Finally, for the woman who has everything, Panasonic’s RF Facial Device EH-XR10 (£449) is the newest device in the brand’s premium beauty line-up. Combining radio frequency (RF) and Ultrasonic technologies to deliver firmer and smoother feeling skin, after the first use – this is probably Panasonic’s most advanced introduction and the way that skincare at home will no doubt be going.

Products are available from Panasonic.co.uk and/or boots.com
