There’s no getting away with it, CBD is the wonder beauty ingredient of the moment. If you’re in the beauty industry and one of your products hasn’t harnessed the power of cannabidiol yet, then you are definitely behind the times.
While it’s true that you can’t move in the beauty aisles for CBD launches, one of the latest new brands – craft luxury skincare label La Rue Verte – is standing heads above the others. The Rue Verte range not only works scientifically on skin renewal, but it also works to ease the mind and revitalise the soul so it has a 360° approach. Ideal for use in the morning, the serum helps to tone, hydrate and pep-up the skin, as well as having a calming effect on the mind.
Tackling the onslaught of ageing, the serum also contains hyaluronic acid and retinol – two established ingredients, known to bring a youthfulness to the complexion. After using it on clean skin, I noticed that my skin looks plumper and lines and creases are not as pronounced. Overall skin feels more radiant and healthy.
CBD is an anti-inflammatory foundation for healthy skin, and one of the reasons it is being championed in the beauty industry is because of its antioxidant properties, which help to strengthen and boost the immune system along with fighting the signs of ageing. It’s the magic potion we are all after.
If you want a peaceful aura, calm presence and smooth, glossy limbs then turn to the Soothing Body Balm, £39.95. This is glorious to use – with its deeply moisturising blend of plant-derived oils which work to nourish and moisturise. After using it only a couple of days, my dry skin is deeply hydrated and feels velvety to the touch. It’s also great to use at the end of the day or after exercise as it it also works to recharge and relax tired muscles.
The rich formula contains menthol and geranium so it smells wonderfully aromatic and uplifting. It also has a blend of essential oils, and #099 CBD, a natural derivative of industrial hemp refined to a purity of >99%. What does that mean? In short, it has a potency of CBD that simply works – all the goodness with no bad side effects.
Finally, is the Hemp Oil Tincture, from £39.95. This pure oil is 100% natural and contains CBD refined to a purity of >99% then suspended in organic Hemp Oil, so you get all the benefits that cannabis can provide, without any of the bitter taste and none of the high.
