Finders keepers, as they say, but if you do manage to spot one of Lacura’s Beauty Boxes (in store at Aldi), then my advice is to snap it up as it is full of the most wonderful beauty surprises to ramp up your routine. (It was launched in September this year, but my faithful spies tell me that despite selling out online there are still some in stock in-store.)
The Lacura Loves Beauty Box is cashing in on the trend for subscription beauty boxes, which are usually filled with little beauty surprises –and the good ones with cult products, which you often can’t buy otherwise. So what’s in Aldi’s version?
Look above and you can see that it’s packed with gorgeous bits, all of which are eminently useful. The five products are all classic dupes of luxury brands, so are brilliant buys individually (in other words, there’s none of that ‘odd product’ inclusion which you’d never use). Included is the Too Legit Mascara, CBD Soothing Concentrate Serum, Dark Blossom Eau De Parfum, H20 Sleep Mask and the Glycolic Toner.
This mini version of Lacura’s Dark Blossom – is so chic. If you were wondering why it smells familiar, well, it’s a replica of YSL’s Black Opium – big tick as it is almost identical. Not only is it handy in size (great for travelling) but it also smells deeply divine, with rich, sophisticated, moody notes. Definitely an after-dark scent.
Then, the Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner – a dupe for Pixi’s Glow Tonic and an iconic Aldi product – is an absolute must (even if you don’t manage to get the box, look out for it on the beauty shelf). It contains 5% glycolic acid to remove impurities and brighten your face and neck. The glycolic acid also helps to improve skin texture over time. Use it and within a few days, you’ll notice the difference with pore size reducing and skin looking more even.
The Lacura CBD Soothing Concentrate is another great find. Made from cannabis sativa seed oil and oregano oil to help hydrate and calm skin, you’ll also notice a visibly reduced redness and discomfort with continued use. Use it as your first step for calm, and glowing skin.
The H2O Sleep Mask is a little treat while you sleep. It plumps and hydrates skin with a lightweight, fast absorbing gel texture – so it is not too rich or heavy. It uses Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate to help improve the appearance of tired looking skin while you get your beauty sleep.
This is such a great buy! The Lacura Too Legit Mascara is long-lasting, and gives definition, curls and lengths your lashes. It’s a make-up must.
