A recent stay at @thegrovehotel in Hertfordshire was one of my highlights of the year so far. This hotel is all singing and dancing. No wonder it’s a @leadinghotelsoftheworld So, what’s new? There are beautiful new Mansion Suites designed by @mhd_martinhulbertdesign Plus a new collaboration with @bamford which sees a bespoke range of therapies arrive at the destination Sequoia Spa. The ‘Sushi in the Lounges’ - found in the historic part of the hotel - is not new but worth a mention as every dish was exceptional. There’s so much to do this summer with a line-up of exciting new pop-ups including: Ralph’s Beach, Verde Kitchen, Secret Cinema by @everymancinema and immersive hot air balloon dining by @feastoncloud9 When can I move in? I wonder what Emmeline Pankhurst would have though

I wonder what Emmeline Pankhurst would have thought of @kimptonfitzroy? The Suffragette lived in a house on this site before it was turned into a hotel in 1900. Flamboyant architecture has been complemented by the gorgeous interiors by @tarabernerd and @russellsagestudio and the original homely, boutique spirit of @kimpton lives on here. At @fitzsbar it’s like you’ve stepped into the Jazz Age with ostrich feathers, mirrored bar and scalloped, velvet chairs in moody colours. It’s utterly glam. In the suites, there is a complimentary soft drinks and snacks bar, plants aplenty (for well-being) and many thoughtful touches, such as a yoga mat and bespoke toiletries designed for the hotel by perfumer @theperfumersstory References to Bloomsbury’s literary traditions are everywhere, with books by the area’s famous authors, who once lived or hung out here, in your room and readings by emerging authors at @burrandco.ldn - the in-house cafe. There’s also elegant dining at @galvinbarandgrill I think Emmeline would approve. Following my stay a few weeks ago, my review is out today with Forbes. I recently visited @fshampshire for a foodie trip to savour. There are Japanese style bento boxes in Cafe Sante; indulgent afternoon tea in the Drawing Room; curated cocktails in the Library Bar and modern, seasonal dishes in Wild Carrot. (Luckily there are morning HIIT and Spin classes on before you hit the breakfast - which is also outstanding!) Read my review out today with Forbes. I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek in at @dukeslondon this week and hear about it’s ‘Royal Connoisseur’ package. There are in-room gifts for guests from many of the surrounding heritage brands found on the doorstep in St James, such as @truefittandhill @berrybrosrudd @florislondon and @lockhatters Guests can also access experiences with many of these companies, which are among the oldest in London. Included during your stay is a special menu inspired by the-soon-to-be King Charles’s favourite dishes and other classic, lavish foodie treats, such as a welcome afternoon tea and a decadent champagne breakfast. At the moment the hotel is in celebratory style with stunning floral displays by @moysesstevens - the oldest florist in London, it dates back to 1876. There’s just no place better to be this weekend to experience London in all her glory for the Coronation.
